UNIPACK S.A. compromised with the safety of its Team and Customers.

On March 16th the Chilean Government informed that our country reaches Coronavirus phase 4.

UNIPACK took immediate action,  implementing the security protocols focused on reducing the risk of contagion.

Part of our personnel is remote working, and the minimum staff that remains in the office, to maintain some services,  are working with the necessary protection to avoid any contagion, daily monitored when they arrive to the facilities. Our crews working at the customer’s residence well equipped with full protection kits.

There are no restrictions in Chile for the import or export of household goods, the ports of Valparaiso and San Antonio are operative till today as well the airport, but yesterday Chilean Customs Office in Los Andes (the frontier line with Argentina) was closed until future notice, so at this moment we can’t process any imports or exports to Argentina.

The Government informs that all borders will be closed on March 18th and due to the contingency plan, we spect delays in Custom clearance procedures.

Most Airlines have canceled their flights, delays, overprices and rerouting are expected.

We will inform the development of this situation to our customers and agents once we have updates from the Government.
